Learn Poker Dice Rules

Some people prefer to play poker by replacing the traditional deck of card with dice instead. It is typically played with a set of five poker dice. Poker dice are different from normal dice in that they have the Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10 and 9 on them.

If you’re playing with other players then you all roll a die in order to see who goes first. The highest roll gets to go first and then continues clockwise around the table. When playing Poker Dice online you will simply have some virtual dice in front of you and you generally click on a button in order to ‘roll’.

Each player in Poker Dice gets three throws of the dice per turn. After your first throw, put aside any dice you wish to keep to use for your hand. Then roll again using the remaining dice. Again you can keep any of the dice you roll in order to make your poker hand. And then you get your third and final roll.

Of course, if you got an excellent poker hand in the first roll of the dice you can stop there, you don’t have to roll 3 times if you don’t want to.

If you don’t have poker dice, then you can always use normal dice to the same effect. The 6 counts for an Ace, the 5 for a King, 4 for a Queen, 3 for a Jack, 2 for a 10, and 1 for a 9.
